Get Ready to Boogie!

Aikane O Nu‘uanu is bringing back last year's popular Just Dance Fundraiser from March 7-18. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 (that’s $60 per student!) to support funding a new playground, purchasing new furniture in all our keiki’s classroom, and to upgrade technology on campus.

There's still time to register, donate and dance if you haven't already! Please help us by contacting friends and family in Hawaii and across the mainland who may be able to help us reach our goal. We need all hands on deck!

Update: We're extending the Movement Minutes submission to Monday, March 21st! Donations will be accepted until next Friday, March 18th.

An Update on Air Conditioners and Future Fundraisers

Great news Nuuanu families! We just received word that the DOE will be funding and supplying air conditioning in all of the remaining classrooms at Nu‘uanu Elementary. This is fantastic news for all of our keiki, especially as we approach the hot summer months. We anticipate that the ACs will be installed over the summer in the remaining four classrooms.

What does that mean for the money Aikane O Nu’uanu has raised to date and will raise? As you know, raising funds for ACs has been our cornerstone project for the past three years. Thanks to the generosity of families, friends and community members, we’re proud to report that we raised enough money to install ACs in all Kindergarten, third and fifth grade classrooms and one first-grade classroom. We’re grateful that the DOE will fund the remaining four classrooms, which means we can now focus on new projects. Moving forward, Aikane O Nu’uanu will be raising money to support funding a new playground, purchasing new furniture in all our keiki’s classroom, and to upgrade technology on campus. We’re excited by all of the upgrades happening and want to thank you in advance for your continued support.
