A: Family Fun Night is the cornerstone event at Nu‘uanu Elementary School. The event is hosted by Aikane O Nu‘uanu (Nu‘uanu Elementary schools’ parent-teacher organization) to bring the Nu‘uanu Elementary school community together and as a fundraiser to purchase items needed for the school. The night includes games, food, a silent auction, country store, talent show, and lots of fun activities for the entire family.
A: Family fun night will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 2:15 (immediately following the end of the school day) to 8:00 p.m.

A: Everyone is invited!
A: Parking is available on NES campus in guest parking and green field. Overflow parking is at International Church (20 Dowsett Ave), and Nu‘uanu Valley Park, as well as street parking. Please be respectful of our neighbor's driveways and property lines.
A: In previous years, our fundraising efforts have gone towards the electronic marquee board, storage containers, the jungle gym, and soccer goals, as well as purchasing electronic equipment for classrooms, supporting teacher projects, and offsetting the cost of some school excursions and activities. We work hand-in-hand with Principal Uemae to determine how to best support our students, teachers and staff, as well as maintain our beautiful campus.
A: We need donation support to make family fun night a success. You can support by:
Donating money. Checks may be written to Aikane O Nuuanu and dropped off at the main office. Donations of more than $250 will receive a tax-deductible letter. If you’re interested in a corporate sponsorship, contact pres@nuuanuschool.org.
Donating goods. We need a variety of items for the event from spam, rice, liter soda and much more. The donation list will be available in March/April.
Donating silent auction items. Silent auction is the largest fundraising opportunity at Family Fun Night. We are looking for donations of all types – gift cards, jewelry, hotel stays, VRBO rentals, airline miles, etc. We also encourage individuals or groups of parents that would like to put together a fun themed basket. Please contact pres@nuuanuschool.org if you have something to donate or for more information.
A: Family Fun Night is only made possible by the volunteers of current and past Nuuanu families and our community members who come together and help to set up and manage the booths. You will receive more information via flyers and email notifications as Family Fun Night draws closer.
A: Scrip can be purchased at Family Fun Night for 50 cents per scrip.
This year, the Games & Activities range from 3-4 scrips each. Small tattoos are 2 scrips. Face painting and airbrush tattoos are 8 scrips. Bounce house is 8 scrips.
