Come join us and get involved!!
We need parents, students, faculty, staff and community organizations to help beautify our school campus!
We will be focusing this time on painting the “rainbow wall” back to rainbow and then light touch up painting on the poles. Not the monumental task we accomplished last time but we will still need a lot of volunteers. We will also be:
- Installing 2 benches.
- Repainting the Hop-Scotch outlines.
- A little spring cleaning for the screens.
- Hanging up a few more clothes lines for artwork in some classrooms and other minor tasks.
We are in need of the following items:
Paint brushes, small brushes/brooms that can be used to clean the screens.
(Please label any items you bring if you want to take them home again)
*** Lunch and refreshments will be provided by Aikane O Nuuanu ***

Welcome New Faculty and Staff! |
Dear Nu'uanu Families,
The 'Aikane o Nu'uanu Board would like to welcome
several new faculty and staff who have recently joined our humble campus. We
have provided pictures of each so that you will be able to recognize these new
faces at school. |
|
Mrs. Wendy Fujiuchi: Kindergarten teacher in room B-1
|
 |
Mrs. Wendy Tsou, Special Education Teacher in room P-1 |
|
Mrs. Trina Kahawai-Travis: Kindergarten teacher in room B-2 |
 |
Mrs. Phyllis Miyashiro, Reader Teacher in the library |
 |
Mrs. Cathleen Kaya: 1st grade teacher in room D-2 |
 |
Mr. Ronald Hanzawa, Head Custodian
|
 |
Mrs. Alison Denning: 2nd grade teacher in room F-1 |
 |
Mrs. Lauren Kato:
Student Services Coordinator. |
In addition, we would like
to extend congratulations to Mrs. Lauren Kato on her appointment as interim
Student Services Coordinator. Mrs. Kato replaces Mrs. Pam Ome who retired in
November. As Student Services Coordinator, Mrs. Kato serves as the single point
of contact to address student concerns and bring together school resources to
address barriers to learning. She was previously the Kindergarten teacher in
room B-2 and now Mrs. Kato works in the school office.
We warmly welcome
these new additions to the Nu'uanu family and look forward to energy they bring
to their new roles!
Mahalo,
'Aikane o Nu'uanu Board |
