The Family Fun Night Silent Auction committee is looking for donations that can be listed in the silent auction. Items such as:

• Gift cards / certificates to stores, restaurants, airlines, activities or services

• New toys, games, electronics

• Hotel / Timeshare / VRBO stays

• New jewelry and bags

• Gift baskets and more

All donations can be dropped off at the school roundabout on the following days:
April 22-26 from 7-8 am

Calling all families and friends! We need help leading and participating in committees for this year’s Family Fun Night. This is our school’s most beloved annual event and the only way it can happen is with the help and support of our Nu‘uanu families.

Aloha! We’re excited to announce that planning for Nu‘uanu Elementary School’s family fun night is underway! This page will be updated throughout the year as details are finalized. If you have any questions about Family Fun Night, email pres@nuuanuschool.org

Q: What is Family Fun Night?

A: Family Fun Night is the cornerstone event at Nu‘uanu Elementary School. The event is hosted by Aikane O Nu‘uanu (Nu‘uanu Elementary schools’ parent-teacher organization) to bring the Nu‘uanu Elementary school community together and as a fundraiser to purchase items needed for the school. The night includes games, food, a silent auction, country store, talent show, and lots of fun activities for the entire family. 

Q: When is the 2024 Family Fun Night?

A: Family fun night will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 2:15 (immediately following the end of the school day) to 8:00 p.m.   

Q: What is this year’s Family Fun Night theme?

A: This year's theme is Game On Nu‘uanu! 

Q: Who can attend the 2024 Family Fun Night?

A: This year, everyone is invited!

Q: Where can I park?

A: Parking is available at Daijingu Temple (61 Puiwa Rd), International Church (20 Dowsett Ave), and Nu‘uanu Valley Park, as well as street parking. Please be respectful of driveways and property lines.

A: The money raised will be used to purchase and install an electronic marquee board on campus.

Q: How do I purchase scrip for Family Fun Night?

A: Order via Venmo @Nuuanu-FFN24 (include student's name and room number in comment section of payment.


Scrip can also be purchased at Family Fun Night for 50 cents per scrip.

This year, the Games & Activities range from 3-4 scrips each. Small tattoos are 2 scrips. Face painting and airbrush tattoos are 8 scrips. Bounce house is 8 scrips. 

Q: How do I purchase items from the silent auction?

A: This year, Silent Auction opens on May 1. Check back for more information and how to purchase items.

Q: What food will be available for purchase?

A: There will be 5 food trucks at this year's event, selling everything from poke, plate lunch, pizza and shave ice. Food will be available mostly through food trucks this year and will take cash/card payments. Nu‘uanu Elementary will also be selling spam musubi and drinks with scrip only.

Q: My child attends after-school care, where do I pick them up on Family Fun Night?

A: If your child attends the YMCA after school care program, parents may pick up their child at the kindergarten/first grade playground area.
