Aloha Nu`uanu Elementary Families,

For over 30 years, `Aikane o Nu`uanu has offered the Early Arrival morning care program to support our families. Provid- ing licensed childcare for our keiki before school hours, the Early Arrival program runs from 6:30 to 7:45 am in the cafeteria. The program is self-supporting--which means all costs are covered by the monthly fee.

We have been fortunate to have sustained the same low monthly fee of $35 for the past 15 years. To ensure the future viability of the program, however, we wish to inform you that we need to assess a monthly increase of $5. Beginning next Fall, the new rate will be $40 per month. This fee increase is equivalent to only 25 cents per day, yet we find this necessary as we manage increases in our operational costs. We hope that families enrolled in the program, despite this nominal increase, will continue to take advantage of this great service.

Later this month, enrollment forms for the 2013-14 school year will be distributed to families currently enrolled. Others who are interested in enrolling may pick up a form in the office. For more information, please contact Early Arrival Director Mrs. Dayle Hoopai (Room D-2).
